  • I disagree as the chartists were also a significant protest group. For example, the chartists were a group of people who wanted everyone to have the right to vote and not just the middle class individuals. This meant they went around England gaining hundreds of signatures on their charter. this therefore was significant as it showed the level of support against the government. Overall i disagree as the chartists were also a significant protest group.
  • I agree as the suffragettes were also a significant protest group. For example, the suffragettes were a group of women who wanted woman to have the right to vote, instead of just men. This meant they went around the countries and bombed areas, went on hunger strikes and smashed windows. This eventually earned women the right to vote and improved equality.
  • I disagree as the Luddites were also a significant protest group. For example, the luddites were a group who went around England destroying machines as the machines were taking their jobs and their wages were reduced. This meant that the government had to get an army to deal with the threat of them and public execution were for the leaders and transported to Australia. Overall, i disagree as the luddites were a significant protest group.
  • Overall, as there were multiple other protest groups which were significant in victorian society such as the luddites.
