1. Plane a piece of pondweed into a beaker of water with sodium hydrogenate
2. Use a light a set distance from the plant
3. Use a thermometer to monitor the plant
4. Measure the distance the bubble moves with a ruler to calculate the volume of oxygen produced
5. Record the number of bubbles observed in three minutes
6. Use a gas syringe to collect the volume of gas produced
7. Repeat steps for different distances
