Weather and Climate

• What is weather?

  • Precipitation - any form of water falling from the sky
  • Humidity - the percentage of moisture in the air
  • Temperature - how hot or cold it is in degrees celcius
  • Cloud Cover - the type and amount of clouds in the sky
  • Wind - the speed and strength of air movement
  • Sunshine - the length of time the Earth's surface is directly exposed to solar radiation
• Climate - the average weather conditions over a long period of time including rainfall and temperature
