• Transportation takes up 30% of land
• Commercial land use takes up 5% of land
• Single Stores -> Plaza -> Community Mall/center -> Power center -> Regional center -> CBD
• Low order goods - Frequently bought, cheap (High order is opposite)
• CBD's are usually downtown
• Central place theory - All city's buy and sell goods
• Threshold - Minimum amount of customers for a city to start
• 6% of a city's land use is industrial
• 10% of city's is institutional
• 7% of a city is recrational
• 4 factors affect land use - Cost, Zoning, Tech, Climate
• CBD -> transition zone -> Independent workers -> Better Res -> Commuters
