    Quality assurance involves the use of a system to ensure that set standards are achieved in production that the products are fit for purpose and right for first time
    QA is achieved through taking a series of measurements and assessing them against predetermined quality standards
    Proactive approach to quality → means a business emphasises quality in the design of a product that provides a level of assurance to prospective buyers

    A series of QA standards have been developed in response to globalisation and emphasis on quality → they are applied universally meaning that components from Korea need to meet the accepted international standard. Means that products from all over the world should be of similar quality
