New service design and development

Cards (2)

  • Service design and development overall
Service design, being customised in nature, has always taken the position of the customer or client as the starting point in the design process
Some have large or little customer interaction
When it comes to design, the service, level of skill, time and expertise must be embedded so that as the service is being delivered, the customer known that they have been specifically catered for, this would give implicit satisfaction
  • Implicit, explicit and example
For example: technological breakthroughs in equipment have produced new types of businesses such as laser hair removal, eye corrections and skin treatments
Explicit service - the tangible aspect of the service being provided, such as the application of time, expertise, skill and effort
Implicit service - is based on a feeling and is, therefore, intangible. The implicit aspects of a service are the psychological wellbeing the feeling of being looked after that comes with the provision of the service
