• Job was a wealthy man who had everything except children. He lost his wealth, family and health through no fault of his own. His friends tried to comfort him by saying it must be because he has sinned. But job insisted that he hadn't done anything wrong. In the end god appeared to job and said that he couldn't understand what goes on between humans and god. The book ends without any clear explanation as to why bad things happen to good people.
