    From the onset of his introduction one is given an explicit idea of what kind of person Fezziwig was. The adjectives act as a way for the reader to understand his personality, it juxtaposes the description we got from Scrooge's introduction. Fezziwig is FOIL to Scrooge
  • No more work tonight, Christmas Eve

    Fezziwig encourages the young apprentices too close early for Christmas. He has a larger than life attitude and is the complete opposite to Scrooge as an employer- he embraces the joys of Christmas
  • In came the housemaid...baker..cook...milkman

    Fezziwig has invited people from all corners of society to his Christmas party. He sees past people's social class and sees them as fellow humans. He is benevolent, exuberant and thoughtful as he just want everyone to enjoy his company. People return these feelings to the employer as they willingly want to be in his company. He treats them like family. This contrasts how Scrooge treats his own family

    Fezziwig has taken the time and effort to provide for his guests. He genuinely wants them to have the best time in his company
  • ...shaking hands with every person individually
    Fezziwig is not dismissive and acknowledges his guests even those who are from lower classes and personally sends them off. He is kind-hearted and is a character that Dickens want the upper class to embody
