  • HORMONAL BIRTH CONTROL - Prevent the woman from ovulating; can relieve unpleasant physical symptoms, like tenderness and pain.
  • BIRTH CONTROL PILLS – lessen menstrual cramps; improvement in acne
  • First 24 hours of the menstrual cycle - when a first-timer for birth control should take it

  • Administer diuretics in the morning to prevent nocturia.
  • If the patient is taking potassium-sparing diuretic, advise to avoid salt substitutes which are high in potassium.
