Where are the adrenal glands?
Just above the kidney
When is adrenaline released? 
In response to scary or stressful situations
How does Adrenaline work?
It gets the body ready for 'fight or flight' by increasing the supply of oxygen and glucose to cells in the brain and muscles, e.g. heart rate
Where is the thyroid?
In the neck
What does thyroxine do?
It regulates the basal metabolic rate and stimulates protein synthesis for growth and development
What is thyroxine released in response to?
Thyroid stimulating hormone or TSH
Where is TSH released?
The pituitary gland
What keeps thyroxine levels in the blood at the right level?
A negative feedback system which affects the secretion of TSH
