  • Renewable energy

Energy produced from sources that are naturally replenished and do not run out
  • Non-renewable energy

Energy that comes from sources which will run out or will not be replenished soon and easily
  • Fossil fuels

They are a non-renewable resource so will eventually run out, and they release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere
  • Biofuel is considered carbon neutral because the plants absorb carbon dioxide when they are growing
  • Advantages of fossil fuels: easy to obtain, relatively inexpensive, reliable to burn
  • Disadvantages of fossil fuels: non-renewable, create pollution and greenhouse gases
