  • Normal distribution features:
    • Curve is always symmetrical
    • Curve extends outwards but never touches 0
    • Mean, median and mode all occupy around the same mid-point on a curve
  • Skewed distributions favour one side - Spread of data that is not symmetrical, it clusters at one end
  • Positive skewed distribution - most of the data is concentrated on the left of the graph, the long tail is on the right side of the peak of the data
  • Negative skewed distribution - most of the data is concentrated on the right of the graph, the long tail is on the left side of the peak of data
  • Plot the mode first, then the median, then the mean
