Exam techniques

• If you are explaining one thing for 4 marks, you might add examples or evidence to support your point
• 1 point worth 2 marks= 1 point with detail
• 3 points worth 3 marks= 3 short points
• Read the key words: Describe= Saying what happens/ what you see, Explaining= Saying what you learn or what it means
• For essay question, remember to state points and then decide whether they are convincing or not
• For essay question, don't bring new points into the conclusion that haven't been mentioned before
