• What is a stimulus?

  A change in the environment to which living things respond
• What is a receptor?

  Cells in sense organs that detect stimuli
• What is a sensory neurone?

  A nerve cell that carries electrical impulses towards the central nervous system
• What is a coordinator?

  The central nervous system (Brain and spinal cord), it receives information from receptors and processes it
• What is a motor neurone?

  A nerve cell that carries electrical impulses away from the central nervous system
• What is an effector?

  The part of the body that brings about the response to a stimuli (muscle contracting or a gland secreting a hormone)
