  • A limit is the value that a function "approaches" as the input approaches some value.
  • Common Mistake: Getting the left limit (-) and right limit (+) confused when it is a piece-wise function.

    Solution: Don't initially look at f(x) values instead look at the x value being apporached and drag my finger from the left side or right side respectively
  • How do I solve a composition limit? What must be true? True or False: When my inner composition has discontunity, the composition limit does not exist.
    Answer:
  • A secant line is a straight line joining two points on a function. It is also equivalent to the average rate of change or simply the slope between two points. A tangent line is a straight line that touches a function at only one point. A normal line touches the function perpendicular to the tangent line. Perpendicular is also the negative reciprocal.
  • What is the derivative of exe^xand how do I solve e^2x problems?

    Solution:
  • audu=∫ a^u d u =
    au(ln(a))\frac {a^u}{(ln(a))}
