Responsible for research priorities in crops, agriculture, livestocks, forestry, natural resources and environment, technology transfer, and socio-economics and policy research
  • Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD)

Responsible for research priorities in delivery of social services, renewable energy, food and nutrition security, countryside development, competitive industry, and energy storage solutions and human security
  • Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS)

Responsible for research priorities in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, including improvement of monitoring and forecasting, warning and communication of information, technology development and application for climate change mitigation and adaptation, and technology development and application for disaster risk management and policy
  • Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)

Responsible for research priorities in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, including improvement of monitoring and forecasting, warning and communication of information, technology development and application for climate change mitigation and adaptation, and technology development and application for disaster risk management and policy
  • Balik Scientist Program
A program developed in 1975 to motivate well-trained overseas Filipino experts in their own fields to come home and share their expertise for the acceleration of the scientific, agro-industrial, and economic development of the Philippines
  • Irradiated Carrageenan Fertilizer
A product by PNRI scientists produced using nuclear and agriculturists to boost the resiliency of rice plants, increasing the yield by 65 percent. It was funded by PCAARRD.
  • Electric Train Project
Completed in 2015, it is locally made with parts locally available. It was created to enhance the efficiency of the public mass transport system, and it was adopted by the Department of Transportation and Communication.
  • Project NOAH (Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazard)
A collaboration between PAGASA, PHIVOLCS, and ASTI (Advanced Science and Technology Institute) to develop a more accurate and responsive disaster prevention and mitigation system. It was created in 2011 and is the primary disaster risk reduction and management program in the Philippines, providing specific and real-time warnings during disaster.
  • Components of Project NOAH
    • Coastal Hazards and Storm Surge Assessment and Mitigation (CHASSAM)
