Monsoon

• Monsoons - are wind systems depending upon which direction the winds originate
• Amihan (northeast monsoon) - draws cool, dry air from high-pressure to low-pressure areas from November to February
• Habagat (southwest monsoon) - a hot and humid air blown from high-pressure to low-pressure areas during June to October


  It also brings heavier rainfall which causes floods in some low surface areas and is mistakenly described as rains
