• open circulatory system - blood flows through the body cavity, not enclosed by vessels
• double circulatory system- heart has two pumps that pump blood to different parts of the body
• Closed circulatory system- blood is contained within tubes (blood vessels)
• Single circulatory system- one pump that pumps blood around the whole body
• Blood pressure = force exerted on walls of arteries as blood moves past them
• Arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart towards tissues
• Single circulatory system- blood passes through the heart once only
• The double circulatory system allows more oxygenated blood to be delivered to tissues.

  Circulatory system transports gases and nutrients around the organism in a transport liquid(blood) which is transported through vessels which is pumped by the heart
