    • what is the WMM
Baddley & Hitch- explanation of STM
    • what is the central executive
      • It monitors incoming data and makes decisions on which system gets what.
      • Has a limited capacity, only one type of information
    • what is the phonological loop
      • this deals with audacity information.
      • it has two parts, the phonological store which stores the words you hear.
      • the articulatory process, which allows maintenance rehearsal
    • What is the visa-spatial sketchpad?

      • this stores visual information, for example if you were asked to work out how many windows there is on a house you would visualise it.

      • a visual cache which stores visual data
      • an inner scribe which is for the arrangement of objects
    • what is the episodic buffer

      • temporary store
      • links memory to perception
    • supporting evidence
      • KF could process visual information normally but could not process auditor information.
      • showing that their is some truth to the WMM as KFs case study supports that there are separate stores
    • oversimplified
the central executive is not really explained in psychology. Baddelely believes that it needs to be understood more. showing that the WMM is not fully explained
    • methodological issues
