      What is capital punishment? - the practise of executing someone as punishment of a specific crime after due process going through the correct legal proceedings or a legal trial.
      The laws were focused on the poor who were viewed as lazy and agents of there own misfortune. these views faded as people were given rights and freedom.

      its illegal in England and Wales but there has been calls to decriminalise it for medical reasons. its legal in some countries like Columbia and Uruguay. Views on cannabis are different according to place. some countries view it as a recreational drug whereas others consider it for medical purposes.

      the age of criminality in the UK is 10. in Canada its 12. in Bangladesh its 9. in China its 16.
      there are occasions where despite murder taking place the law allows an alternative charge of manslaughter. only happens if the offender is said to have suffered from diminished responsibility or acted under loss of control.
