  • Why is introspection unreliable?
    We cannot objectively measure a person’s responses because they are unobservable responses. Although participants could report on their conscious experiences, the process themselves (e.g. memory, perception) are considered to be unobservable constructs
  • A strength of Wundt’s research is that his methods and techniques are considered ‘scientific’ due to use of the same stimuli and standardised instructions given to participants. This makes his experiments repeatable
