    • only take a couple of weeks to work unlike the talking therapies such as CBT
    • CBT which can take several weeks – drugs are also a cheaper treatment for the NHS as they are cheap to manufacture compared

    • lead to people stop using treatment

    • argued to impose the chemical straitjacket
    • drugs may control a person’s mind and body by controlling levels of neurotransmitters
    • unlike CBT, which encourages clints to identify and challenge their irrational thoughts
