• Light + all electromagnetic waves travel at the same speed in a vacuum. (represented by letter "c")
• Waves transfer energy, energy is a quantity that is always conserved.

  r=distance from source
• Radio waves (Used to broadcast radio and television)

  Micro waves (Used in cooking, radar and telephones)

  Infrared waves (Transmit heat from sun, fires, radiators)

  Visible light (Allows us to see things)

  Ultra violet waves (Absorbed by the skin)

  X-rays (Used to view inside bodies and object)

  Gamma rays (Used in medicine, killing cancer cells.)
