  • Act in the best interest of patients​
    Not allow sex/religion to influence treatment, involve P's in decisions, not put them in harm ​
  • Maintain records appropriately​
    If digital set a password, if physical lock away in cabinet, keep track of medication/therapies, detailed notes store chronologically, pseudonym in notes ​
  • Practice and follow ethical guidelines​- confidentiality
    Confidentiality using pseudonym + locking notes, can break confidentiality if there is a risk of patient harming themselves/others, inform about side effects ​
  • Ensure quality of practice​
    Act within limits of knowledge + skills, ask for others opinions, regular training ​
  • Work + communicate effectively with others​
    Work as part of multidisciplinary team (patients, clinicianstherapists, social services, parents, police) communicate key aspects of triggers, symptoms+ treatments. ​
