    • Summarize the work which is the subject of your reaction paper
    • Identify the author, creator/director, title of the work, publisher, and publication date (for reading materials), and other preliminary details
    • Write an informative summary of the material
    • Condense the content of the work by highlighting its main points and key supporting points
    • Summarize the material so that the reader gets a general sense of all the key aspects of the work
    • Do NOT include your reaction in this section

    • Include your reaction to the work
    • Discuss how the work relates to ideas or concerns discussed in the course
    • Discuss how the work relates to problems or concerns in the present-day world

    • Read/watch the material carefully
    • Create a writing outline before writing
    • Follow APA 7th Edition formatting and citation guidelines
    • Reread, revise, and polish your first draft and then rewrite your final draft while applying corrections
  • APA 7th Edition formatting guidelines include: using 8.5 x 11" paper, aligning the title to the center, using 1 inch margin for all sides, aligning the paragraphs to the left or justify, indenting the first line of each paragraph, using 12 pt Times New Roman font style and not using boldface, locating the page numbers at the top right corner, using double spacing throughout the whole text, and doing in-text citation for sources and listing them in the References section
