    • Has traditionally revolved around collecting, preserving, researching and displaying objects.
    • Contains records of human presence and the individual experience of people. When examining actual objects and artifacts as primary sources of information, one may be able to see the authentic experience as well as the meaning that it may bring to the audience.
    • Provides the authenticity of the historical writing through objects and artifacts.

  • Importance & Purpose of it:
    • Is an important institution that preserves cultural heritage with the primary intent to collect, preserve, understand, and exhibit the different relics and artifacts, for better understanding of the past.
    • Are being used in a huge variety of societies all over the world.
    • Offer formal and non-formal academics to anyone who will be taking an interest because it is free to the public.
    Museums
    • Hold collections in more than one subject and are therefore sometimes known as the multidisciplinary museums.
    • Many were founded in the 18th, 19th or early 20th century.
    • Most originated in earlier private collections and reflected the encyclopedic spirits of the times.
    • Certain museums reflect the influence of cultural contact made through trade.
    • Some museums hold a number of important specialized collections that would qualify them to be grouped in more than one category of specializations.
    General Museums
    • (called art gallery in some places) is concerned primarily with the object as a means of unaided communication with its visitors.
    • Aesthetic value is therefore a major consideration in accepting items for the collection.
    • Traditionally these collections have comprised paintings, sculpture, and the decorative arts.

    • Being one of the most frequented historical and tourist sites in Laguna, it has an average of 270,000 visitors annually.
    Rizal Shrine
    • The new museum is part of the National Museum complex in Manila, along with the National Museum of Fine arts and the National Museum of Anthropology.

    • It is the first world-class science museum in the Philippines that makes everything you didn't bother learning in grade school suddenly so fascinating.
    The Mind Museum
    • It was originally designed as a public library in 1918 before it was inaugurated on July 16, 1926.
    National Museum of the Philippines
    • The "Museum of the people of Davao" is one of the two known museums in Davao. Although it is directly translated as "Davao Museum", it is commonly known as the NEW Museum.

    • It displays the historical relics in the city, the museum also showcases the cultural heritage of the province and the whole region.

    3. Lapu-Lapu Shrine
    • It commemorates the Battle of San Juan del Monte, the first attempt of the Katipuneros led by Andres Bonifacio and Emilio Jacinto to fight the Spanish forces in late August of 1896.
