• Intrapersonal - communication that centers on one person when the speaker acts both as the sender and receiver
• Interpersonal - communication between and among people and establishes personal relationship between them
• Dyad Communication - communication between 2 people
• Small Group - communication that involves at least 3, but not more than 12 engaging in face-to-face intercation
• Public - communication that requires you to deliver or send the message in front of group
• Mass communication - communication that takes place through TV, Radio, internet, and other types of media
• Speech acts - utterance that a speaker makes to achieve an intended effect
• Locutionary act - speaking part of the speech act
