• Patients with Down syndrome are more likely to get AD
• NMO is associated with antibodies to water channel aquaporin 4
• ALS has lewy - like bodies & betz cells
• Heidenhain stain Shows swollen & softened pons & medulla in acute disseminated encephalo myelitis
• AD has Abnormally hyper-phosphorylated tau protein
• Bielschowsky stain is for nerve fibers, neurofibrillary tangles & senile plaques in the CNS (MS, AD, Pick Disease and Parkinson’s)
• Parkinson’s has lewy bodies shown by α-Synuclein
• Friedreich ataxia has kyphoscoliosis
