nephrons

Cards (5)

  • Blood enter through renal arteries which are quite large, allowing kidneys to receive a large amount of blood from the heart
  • Renal artery divide into arteries and arterioles, afferent arteriole forms knot of capillaries (glomerulus) which unite into efferent arterioles
  • Efferent arterioles breaks up into peritubular capillaries which surround the nephron and into the renal vein taking blood out of the kidney
