• The eye = the sense organ responsible for sight

  
• Cornea: refracts light

  
• Iris: controls how much light enters pupil

  
• Lens: focuses light onto retina

  
• Retina: contains light receptors, some sensitive to light of different colours

  
• Optic nerve: carries impulses to the brain
