• The nervous system is made of two main parts what are they ?


  -Peripheral nervous system

  -Central nervous system
• What is the central nervous system made up of ?

  -Brain

  -Spinal Cord
• The Peripheral nervous system is made of two different types what are they ?

  -Autonomic

  -Somatic
• What does the Somatic nervous system (SNS) control ?

  It controls the voluntary movement of the skeletal muscles.
• What does the Autonomic nervous system (ANS) control ?

  It controls the self regulated action of internal organs

  and glands.
• What are the two branches that stem from the autonomic nervous system ?

  -Sympathetic

  -Parasympathetic
• What is the main function of the spinal cord ?

  To relay information between the brain and the rest of the body which regulates processes such as digestion and breathing or the co-ordination of voluntary movements.
