Pressure

• Pressure tells you how easily something will cut through a material.
• Pressure is calculated by the equation p = F ÷ A where F is the force applied and A is the area it is applied to.
• The bigger the area a force is applied to, the less pressure there is.
• Atmospheric pressure increases with altitude.
• Upthrust is caused by different water pressure above and below an object.
