• localisation of function= brain areas that are responsible for specific functions

  • motor cortex = movement- middle of head before SS
  • somatosensory = senses - middle after motor
  • brocas area= production of speech- under motor
  • auditory cortex= sound -under SS next to wernicke
  • wernickes area= speech comprehension- next to auditory
  • visual cortex= sight - back of head
• Broca and Wernicke both did research on patients with brain lesions
