LATERALISATION

• brain has two hemispheres
• wiring is contralateral, meaning that the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body and vice versa
• left= logic and such (where broca + wernickes are)
• right= creativity
• two hemispheres communicate via corpus callosum
• some epilepsy pts are treated by severing the corpus callossum
