Number Sense

• Error intervals- when a number is rounded we might want to know what it could have been before it was rounded. The range of numbers is called an error interval. We write it using inequalities
• It looks like this

  Ps. The first inequality sign is meant to be equal to or less than

  The first dots is called lower bound

  The second dots are upper bounds

  Example: 2.5<x<3.5
