  • What are the 4 types of tissue in animals?
    • epithelial - sheets of cells covering exterior surfaces of the body and forms internal glands
    • connective - binds cells and organs of the body together and functions in protection, support and integration of all parts in the body
    • muscle - excitable, responds to stimulation and contraction to provide movement
    • nervous - excitable , allows propagation of electrochemical signals in the form of nerve impulses that communicate between different regions of the body
  • What are the different types of plant tissues?
    • dermal tissue - provides protection and reduces water loss
    • vascular tissue - transports water and nutrients from one part of the plant to the other
    • ground tissue - provides storage and support as well as photosynthesis
