  • Describe the stages of mitosis
    • Prophase - the chromatin condenses into chromosomes and the nucleolus disappears
    • Metaphase - chromosomes line up at the middle
    • Anaphase - chromosomes break at centromeres and sister chromatids move to opposite ends of the cell
    • Telophase - nuclear membrane reforms, nucleoli reappear, chromosomes unwind into chromatin
