Animal and Plant Cells

Cards (9)

  • An animal cell:
    A) Cytoplasm
    B) Nucleus
    C) Ribosomes
    D) MItochondria
    E) Cell Membrane
  • A plant cell:
    A) Chloroplast
    B) Nucleus
    C) Vacuole
    D) Cytoplasm
    E) Ribosome
    F) Mitochondria
    G) Cell wall (Cellulose)
    H) Cell membrane
  • Nucleus= contains genetic material, controls cell activities, controls cell division
  • Cell Membrane= controls what goes in and out of the cell, controls what goes on inside the cell
  • Cytoplasm= where chemical reactions take place, where most of the cell's organelles are found
  • Mitochondrion= the site of aerobic respiration in eukaryotic cells (contains enzymes)
  • Ribosomes= site of protein synthesis, found in the cytoplasm
  • Chloroplast= green pigmented organelle that contains chlorophyll. It absorbs light energy and converts it into chemical energy
  • Permanent Vacuole= contains cell sap, keeps the cell turgid
