• when the wood is drying the air moves around the planks to dry them
• you put stickers in between so the water doesn't move to the bottom and won't dry
• the shed has a roof and no sides so that air can get in but the rain can't
• they paint the sides of the planks so no moisture gets in
• this method of drying the timber will only dry the timber 22%
• timber the same thickness and species should be kept in their own stack
