• Species diversity

  The number of differenet species within an area.
• Ecosystem

  A community and the non-living components of its environment together.
• Farming has direct affect on diversity:

  • Loss of habitat due to overgrazing and loss of hedgerows.
  • Fewer species of animals or plants due to monoculture.
• Farming has some indirect factor affecting diversity:

  • Pesticides
  • Animal Waste
