The first meeting of the 'big three'. Stalin tested the Allies by asking for a supreme commander to be appointed for D-day - Eisenhower was chosen. WSC was forced to concede the importance of D-Day over the Mediterranean. WSC proposed, and Stalin accepted, moving Poland's borders westwards to give the USSR valuable coalfields to compensate for war damage. Roosevelt and Stalin dominated the negotiations, often excluding WSC & meeting in private and made several unpleasant jokes at SC's expense.
