• investigating reaction time

  For this you will need a metre rule

  independent variable: could use dominant and non dominant hand

  get a person to hold the ruler 0cm above your hand

  get them to drop the ruler and you to catch it

  record where the ruler lands- on top of persons thumb on a table

  convert results into reaction time
• Using quadrats

  Place a 1m2 quadrat on the ground at a random point within the sample area (I.e a sunny spot)

  count all the organisms (I.e. daisies) within a quadrat

  repeat and record results

  work out the mean number of organisms per quadrat within the first sample area

  repeat in second sample area (I.e. a shady spot)

  compare results
