    • The public also demanded revenge for the killing of Custer and his men. Plains Indian tribes were placed on smaller reservations, with poor soil and their rations were cut to starvation levels.

    • Sitting Bull’s followers met with other reservations and travelled to WOUNDED KNEE CREEK.
    • WHAT HAPPENED THERE?
    • A Sioux warrior resisted arrest and began a Ghost Dance. In the confusion a shot was fired and in 10 minutes 250 men, women and children had been killed.

    • This was the last clash between the US Army and the Sioux
