RP - Ruler Drop Test

  1. Sit down and place forearm of weak hand on table, with hand hanging over the end of the table
  2. Partner holds ruler with bottom in between (2 fingers only)
  3. Partner then drops ruler with no warning
  4. Record number where the top of the thumb is
  5. Repeat and calculate mean
• Describe a method to investigate the effect of caffeine on reaction time(6)

  1. Hold ruler above hand of person being tested
  2. Zero mark should be level with top of hand
  3. Drop ruler and person catches it, recording number caught from
  4. Convert distance into time with scale chart or use computer program
  5. Repeat and calculate mean
  6. Consume controlled amount of caffeine, make sure to change people and keep age, amounts of caffeine the same
