• Yang represents the masculine principle of light, warmth, activity, and initiative.

• 2 Levels of knowledge

  1. Lesser Knowledge - Man sees the distinction between things
  2. Greater Knowledge - Man sees in the light of heaven where in there is no distinction of all things are one
• Wu Wei Theory - Principle of Non-Activity, Movement can cause distraction
• Tao te ching - is central to both philosophical and religious conceptions of Taoism, and has had great influence beyond Taoism as such on Chinese philosophy
