• Respiration - releasing energy from food

  Formula: Glucose + Oxygen ---> Energy + Carbon dioxide + Water
• Respiratory System:

  Nose - takes in air and filters it with hairs

  Epiglottis - flap of skin preventing food going down the trachea

  Bronchus - tube that carries air into the lungs

  Bronchiole - Narrow tubes giving air to alveoli

  Alveolus - Tiny air sacs for gaseous exchange

  Diaphragm - a muscle controlling volume of the chest
• Diffusion - when gases move in and out of a cell
