stage 3 of menstrual cycle?
LH= stimulates the release of the egg at day 14 (ovulation)
stage 4 of menstrual cycle?
progesterone is released= maintains the lining of uterus during 2nd 1/2 of cycle. when progesterone level falls, the spongy lining breaks down if no fertliised egg has landed on the uterus wall= inhibits the release of LH and FSH
