• Aim:

  T observe how minorities can influence a majority
• Procedure:

  • PPs were 2 confederates (minority) and 4 PPs (majority)
  • 36 blue slides each with a different shade of blue
  • Asked whether the slide was blue or green
  • Confederates consistently said the slides were green

  ---> The number of times that the real PPs reported that the slide was green was observed
• Conditions:

  1 - consistent confederates

  2 - inconsistent confederates
• Findings:

  • Consistent confederates - 8% of PPs agreed with slides being green
  • Inconsistent confederates - 1% of PPs agreed with slides being green
