  • North America, Australia and Saudi Arabia have the most energy consumption per person
  • Central Africa does not consume much energy
  • An anomaly is South Africa
• Fracking - is the process on injecting water and chemicals at high pressure to break rocks underground, to release gas.

  ~ Advantages; creates jobs

  ~ Disadvantages; pollution of groundwater, possibility of earthquakes, expensive
• Exploiting energy (wind turbines and nuclear) ;

  Positives;

  • Building creates jobs
  • Can become tourists attractions
  • No harmful gas emissions

  Negatives;

  • Visual and noise pollution (put off tourists)
  • High set up costs
  • Risk of harmful radioactive leaks
  • Storing and processing toxic waste is problematic
