• Collected over 3000 specimens of animals, plants and organs
• Experimented with inflating blood vessels with wax to understand blood flow
• Acquired skeleton of Charles Byrne, Irish Giant, 7’7” tall, in 1783
• Collection given to the Royal College of Surgeons after his death
